Why not? Are you saying when my mom’s dad died when she was 2 and my uncle was six months old, they and my grandmother weren’t a family anymore? Or maybe when my mom’s first husband died when she had 5 year old twins and a 3 year old son they weren’t a family anymore. Or maybe when my dad died when I was 9, my sister 5, my half brother 17, and my handicapped sister 19, that we weren’t a family anymore?
