Yeah I got away from a chick that was bipolar, constantly threatened to kill herself and constantly criticized me.
She tried to contact me FB. She was hoping that I was happy and well and she wished she had married me. I know that she has seen my family. I didn’t respond; I couldn’t see an upside to replying.

Had a girl chase me from first grade onward. She wasn't bad looking but there was no chemistry from my side. We lost touch after HS (I learned much later she went to LSU for a semester and stalked me from afar but I didn't know it at the time).
We reconnected on social media years later and had lunch a couple of times when she was in town. I was single, she was married. Her texts and phone calls got more and more personal and I was trying to figure a way to distance myself when she called me one night: She was divorcing her husband, she had never loved him, she had always loved me. She wanted me to marry her, I would never have to work {she owned a very successful speech/language therapy practice in Dallas so it was a legit offer).
I put the brakes to all that with the quickness and I haven't heard from her since. Not long afterward she married some other guy we went to high school with.

College girlfriend was an 8 in the 80’s. Now an unrecognizable pig.

That pathological bulliet I dodged was a horrible combination of obsessed w marriage and 10 feet up her family's arse. In the span of one week she started a massive argument that I hadn't proposed yet, then broke up with me. A couples months later she was dating...few months after that engaged, few months after marriage she's pregnant.
I'm not usually one to guage relationships based on FB, but ole boy is non existent..despite them still being married. It's just her, her kids and her parents on trips, at events etc. This dude was an expendable means to an end...coulda been me

I think early on in my dating life
I had a lot of girls put me out of my misery for my own good if you know what I mean
I had no shame back in the day

I didn’t respond
A couple of years after our divorce, my ex sent me a long text about her diagnosis and how she got her meds dialed in and was sorry for all the things she did. I had no idea how to respond so I didn’t. We communicate almost daily because of kid stuff but that one message was out of the blue.

I was at a high school party with a girl I really liked and had been on a handful of dates with but she was into some pretty hard drugs that I wasn’t into. She got pissed at me while we were there over something stupid and left early. I told her I would catch a ride with a friend instead. She died in a single car accident about a mile down the road from the party. It was very surreal

Almost married one, dated while she was in dental school, she was good looking, smart, the whole package, ran into her a year or two after we broke up, told me she missed me, her new boyfriend was a closet queer, etc. gave her a hug and wished her the best.
Now she’s got a successful dental practice but we’re nearing 40 and she’s big as a whale after popping out 3 kids. I’ve got a younger hotter wife, and a happy family, it all works out in the end.

That’s borderline personality disorder not bipolar. It’s way worse. Bipolar disorder can’t be treated and see significant improvement. Personality disorders don’t show much improvement with treatment and they don’t realize they have a problem.

There was one I regretted breaking up with for a decade. Then I found out she had a dominant gene that was severely detrimental for her children.

Not exactly but there was a chick I pined away for from like 6th to 11th grade, we ended up being friends and I dated some of her friends but never got the vibe from her.
A decade later and she’s closing in on 350 pounds.

A good partner would have gotten her a gym membership and bariatric surgery for Christmas.

The last 3 girls I dated before my wife got fat as hogs after having a kid. My wife had several and stayed thin.
I couldn’t do it. Call me vain or shallow, I don’t want a fatass wife

Someone buy this man a beer. I almost woke up my wife laughing at this.
