Gym class is meant to burn energy that may otherwise lead to being expressed in a negative way, or turn you into a fatass.

I am not one of these "the pussification of Merica" type who says it about every little thing, but this sounds like some bullshite.
When I was in elementary school, it was played at recess and once a week, on Fridays when we had "PE time".

I’ll bet if a study was done...... it would say thet since schools started phasing out dodgeball, school shootings have gone up. Let the kids take out their aggression in a harmless manner.

We used to play in a dodgeball league down at the beach and it kicked arse. About 20 people on each team, 8 teams down there at a time, everyone drinking and having a great time.
I know, a CSB for sure, but reminiscing about those evenings is fun for me. And no one was mental impacted by the experience.
