"Sugar's the enemy, and these drugs affect sugar in your blood," Dubrow told Fox News Digital. "They affect the way insulin reacts."
GLP-1s help insulin move the glucose (sugar) out of the bloodstream and into the body’s cells, where it can be used for energy or stored, the doctor said. The drugs also help to prevent the inflammation and damage sugar can cause in the blood vessels, nerves and organs.

In addition to regulating blood sugar and triggering weight loss, GLP-1s have also been approved to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events and kidney disease in certain patients.

The price would have to go down drastically for anyone to be able to do this

Dr. Terry Dubrow, a plastic surgeon and TV personality
ETA: I’m not against the use of GLP 1’s, especially for those that actually use them as a tool for lifestyle change

We could also stop letting "big sugar" dump so much sugar into EVERYTHING. Its amazing when you look at nutrition labels and see how much added sugar is dropped into even the "healthy" food selections. Why cant you people consume anything without pounds of sugar dumped into it?

or the benefits have been extensively studied for years?
As usual, your poor reading comprehension and jumping to assumptions make you look foolish in every thread.

Beware of GLP-1s and NAION. For those that don't like to search, GLP-1s can take your sight.
