Wife called me today that their practice, due to a virus has been shut down.

This is not a biological virus, it's a computer virus.

Names, addresses and most importantly SSN's.

Which raised the question from me...

Why do you need my SSN if I'm paying through a provider?

Medicare/Medicaid...I can see where the government needs to be involved.

As said your title sucks.

And I bet you didn't raise this hissy fit when you filled out the initial form. You put that along with all your personal information like a good patient.

Face it, it's 2018. At some point someone will steal your identity in some way, shape or form.

Be an adult, monitor your credit reports, insurance benefits received and bank accounts.

BTW, as I go through all the data I stole from your wife's place of employment. I see that she has several STDs, you might want to go get tested.

Now I have to spend $20/month to Expedia for credit ratings that I don't even need.

This is a sham...

Perpetrated by the same scum that earns their living in this ethereal world that proselytizes the safety of the net.

Can you ethically agree with this practice? If this is just normal...

frick you.

Why are you paying an online travel agency for credit ratings?

I had to see a specialist doctor whose receptionist gave me the regular forms to fill out which also included SSN. I left that blank. She called me back up and said I had to fill it in or the doctor would not see me. I asked why, when other doctors don't ask for that and she just shrugged and gave me attitude. I caved since I'd waited to get that appointment. Now I'm scared.

The word you're looking for is Experian.

And for someone who uses big words you sure have zero concept of self responsibility and acceptance of risk.

But yeah "frick me" for calling you out on your childish BS, right?
