Do your girlfriends/wives lose things regularly?

My girl and I went out last night with a group of friends. This morning I'm getting ready to go to the office and I hear her hollering that she can't find her phone or keys. Search everywhere in my apartment, every nook and cranny, and my car as well. Find the phone under a couch cushion. Nothing on the keys. She thinks she left them on the table at one of the restaurants. The two places we went don't open until 11 EST. I consequently just had to tell my boss that I need to work remotely this morning to take care of some shite.
I don't know if this just applies to men, but I always have the "3 pocket" system of phone, keys, wallet. I imagine that for women it would be a matter of just making sure your shite is in your purse. Am I in the right for being irritated at her? I don't know - ladies of the OT, chime in?

Every damn day. About to the leave the house with everybody ready to get out the door. Guaranteed “Have you seen my (insert any item here)?” Tear the whole house apart for 10 minutes until we find it in her purse where she “already looked.”

Constantly. I usually get blamed for it. Last week she called me 3 times asking where I had put her lunch box since I had cleaned the house. I kept telling her I didn't touch it and she got progressively more aggravated. When I quit hearing from her I knew that she had found it and it was in a retarded location of her choosing. She had stuffed it under the back seat of her car the week before.

Why couldn’t she take care of it herself?
I keep my clutch, phone, and my keys in the same places so I don’t forget at home. And they’re generally together when we’re out.

I don’t lose my essentials (wallet/keys etc. knock on wood) but I misplace secondary items daily.

My wife had a habit of putting her bank card is a different place every time she used it.
She's actually been much better at that. I kept telling her "if you always put it back in the same location, you never have to wonder where it is."

Welcome.
I don't think I have ever lost my keys in my life. That's because literally every day when I get home my keys go in the exact same spot that they always have. Same with other things that routinely go "where they go."
Your situation is 100% a woman thing and very common. I love my wife, but she loses lids/caps to shite all the time and it drives me insane. Medicines, toothpaste, etc. Lids/caps just vanish like a fart in the wind. It's almost impressive.
