I was watching track practice and watching Cody talk about licking Levis a-hole. The moms didn't appreciate it.

At times, I find their workouts hardcore compared to my Masters Team Swim Workouts. Makes you appreciate how hard they practice.

Isn't he a little old for soccer at 9?
Time to move on up to real sports

My son's going to be an nfl kicker...all in good time.
Then he needs to be playing football. Needs to feel what it's like to get hit.
Do the right thing, Dad. Pull him out of soccer.

6.5 hours of practice a week for a 9 year old? Holy crap what could they possibly need to practice so much for?

If I could post a video of him place kicking a football you'd be impressed.

Football here has a 9-11 team and he'll be on it. He wants to be a wide receiver...but he'll definitely be the kicker.

I hope that's not a pond of soy sauce in the bottom of that dish.

There's a ton 9 yr olds don't know about soccer.

You're doing the right thing.
Coaches hate when the know it all parents stay to watch.

It wasn't. I think it was chilled ponzu, luckily they had the leaf there, I just ate it off the mold.

I'll help you groom him to be a pro kicker. But he needs to learn how to perform under pressure and needs to establish a sense of urgency in his kicking routine.
Anybody can boot a football. The great kickers knew how to deal with pressure and how to execute under that sense of urgency.
He will get none of that from socker. He might turn gay from it though.

No, because when I'm there and visible to him, he's constantly looking at me to see my reaction instead of focusing on what he's supposed to be doing. If I sneak in towards the end and watch him without him noticing, he does so much better.
I hated when my dad watched me practice. I always felt like he was judging me. Never really could play loose with him watching. My dad was kind of an a-hole as far as trying to coach me in sports, starting from a young age. Took a the fun out of it a lot of times.
Love that tough bastard though.

12 hours a week at training/practice. Me or my wife is there the whole time but we just sit back and read a book or read a certain message board.
