I use Google Wallet and have MS Mobile ID for my Drivers License. I rarely take my real wallet with me anymore.

Apple Wallet has been a game changer for me.

I use Apple Pay wherever possible. More secure than a physical card.

This biggest flaw with them is that a lot of places still don't accept it.

Google wallet. I prefer the app because it uses a temp card number for each purchase so someone can't steel my card number.

I use Samsung Wallet just for emergencies when for some reason I don't have my card on me. It's saved my arse more than once to be honest.

I don't use mobile pay in stores, but I use Apple Pay anytime a website takes it since I somehow still don't know my CC number by heart.

It also came in handy the time I spent 2 hours carefully selecting a basket full of groceries at Whole Foods and realized I didn't have my wallet at the register.

I use the Samsung wallet for the majority of my purchase (when I can) and do not put the ATM card on it.

I also use Walmart and Sam's Club apps which does the same thing.

I prefer Sam's over Costco because I can skip the checkout line by scanning the purchase with the phone.

I don't use one for actual payments and money, that just feels too weird for me.

I do use Google Wallet though since every sporting event I've attended since 2020 has all but required it.

I don't understand this.

One, why does it feel weird? Two, what did you use Google Wallet for if you didn't use it for a payment? Was it just to hold the tickets? Three, I don't see how a sporting event could require someone to use Google Wallet specifically, or why they would.

Likewise, nice if you forget or lose your wallet.

Are you more likely to forget/lose your wallet than your phone? If anything I want to be less dependent on my phone rather than become more dependent on it. I am more likely to forget my phone at home than my wallet. With the digital wallet and Digital drivers license, you could argue for only having to carry one item, but then all of your ducks are in the same basket, if you do lose it. My point is if I am going to carry my wallet anyways, why not just use what's in it...

it's just personal preference, I'm not admonishing anyone that does use it in that way. Personally I just don't really loe the idea of holding my phone up to a terminal and it interfacing with my bank account. Again, probably nothing at all but I just prefer not to go that route since I don't really need to and it's not necessary

I just told you, tickets. I never had a wallet until covide and now I use it exclusively for tickets.

they don't, which is why I sadi "all but" required. HAve you been to a sporting event or concert lately? Most sporting events have the type of e-ticket that has a constantly changing barcode so you can't simply take a screenshot. So your only options to get in are 1)hope and pray your internet service works well enough to click the link in your email that takes you to the website that contains your ticket and pull it up for hte scanner, or 2) open your wallet regardless of internet connection and display it that way

When I'm trying to enter a venue with 90K other people all trying to show their tickets at the same time, believe me it's much easiser to use a digital wallet than accessing a website.
