Can’t beat the theater experience, IMO. Been to 5 movies in 2021.

Planning on seeing the new 007, dune, and the eternals this year as well.

nah, most movies suck arse, and sitting there with the general public is fricking brutal.

IIRC the last movie I watched in the theatre was Trainspotting in 1996 in Schaumburg, Ill.

Doubtful. Last time I was in a movie theatre was prob 2005ish anyways.

Why go subject yourself to a certain demographic who like to be loud, play on their phones (making noise), and get confrontational when they realize they are a distraction.

This thread has me trying to remember the last movie I saw in a theater. Honestly can’t remember. Probably been a decade at least.

I've probably done so more than before COVID. Not sure if COVID-related, but The Grand here seems to be making an effort to include a slightly more diverse (less Hollywood) slate.

Hollywood is too rapey, racist, sexist, left-wing, and puppets of Communist China for me to ever step into a theater again.

I want come back, but none of these fascist communist China dependent corporations like evil Disney and Comcast will let me, with their shite-pipe of lame movies. For example Disney just raped and murdered the Star Wars franchise. WTF? How is that good business?

We need an anti-Hollywood movie production scene to grow.

Absolutely. Was in one 2 weeks ago and many times this year. I've found it's getting to be a better experience as lots of folks aren't going as much. And less of a baby sitter than in years past.

Yes. I was only seeing one or two movies per year in theaters before COVID, will probably be in the ballpark moving forward.

Yes. Some movies are just better that way. Plus, AMC will let you rent the entire theater for $150. Can have up to 20 people. Not a bad deal to keep it to your group.

Probably not….I don’t have a lot of patience for inconsiderate folks. That coupled with the fact that they are just fricking nasty places makes me not miss movie theaters at all.

That’s unfortunate, you’ve missed out on some great shite to see in a theater

I’ve been seeing movies all during the Rona. I enjoy the experience. Recently saw on older movie on the big screen that I’d only seen on TV. Amazing how many more details you pick up on the big screen.
