As with most of my posts that don't initially receive good reception on TD, this will likely be another thought of mine that is eventually proven to be correct.

We’re still waiting on the Bud Light tranny to turn hot.

If they are so worthwhile then why aren't multimillionaires spending money to purchase and restore them?

I'm not suggesting they aren't just being practical

The folks with the high value art that has not been listed on property tax roles and no insurance will silently suck it up.

Library of Alexandria checking in for worst in human history. WW2 was probably the most for physical art, but the lighthouse was the largest loss of human knowledge.

For the US I’d say demolishing Penn Station and building Madison Square Garden on top

This might be the most pompous thing I’ve read on TD ever, and that’s saying something.

Not to minimize the human suffering involved, but some Brady Bunch houses aren't exactly St. Peter's Basilica or the Parthenon.

It absolutely could be in modern US history … especially if the Gamble house and other architectural treasures are taken. And we have no idea the extent of the art and personal memorabilia collections burning.

Nothing in my lifetime comes to mind (I’m 51)

You might not like the way they look, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
They are innovative, original, and unique. Not another knockoff of a centuries old style.
Like his work or not, FLW was a great architect/artist/visionary.

You should read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.
