Do you think the NFL will ever hold the Super Bowl in a different Country?

Since they are a worldwide brand and have expanded to having games overseas...and being that some countries/cities host the World Cup with attendance well over 100k......I can see the NFL holding a Super Bowl in one one those cities one day

Goodell spoke about this late last year. It 's not out of the question, but the NFL and the owners want to stick to the current formula.

Problem with a London Super Bowl is the time difference. A night game in London would mean early afternoon on the west coast and late afternoon on the east coast

They'll do anything for money. It would be shitty in my opinion.

I don't think so, unless they are willing to move kickoff to 2:00 EST or something like that. Right now, the game kicks off at 6:30 EST. That's 11:30 PM London time. If they're actually playing the game there, there is no way they will have kickoff be that late locally.

Time zones are the one factor that never really gets discussed when talking about putting a team in Europe permanently. They could never host a prime time game.

If I were to investigate doing anything different it would be the Sunday model. Seems like Saturday would really change the dynamic. I’d be much more interested if I had an all day Saturday activity instead of Sunday being the slow down prepare for work day.

I thought the rule was that the NFL has to have a team where a Super Bowl is held

London would be an exception to that rule unless they get their own team

10Pm kickoff in London, 5pm kickoff on East Coast

Maybe do Saturday instead of Sunday as well

My question is, would the Europeans pony up the amount of money the NFL will charge for tickets. Especially if they are putting it in a venue that holds over 100k.

I don’t see how it could be though. You aren’t going to get enough Brits to fill Wembley paying £5-10k for the seats and advertisers aren’t going to pay premium if it isn’t prime time

I don't think so. There's nothing in Europe w luxury seating. No one there would really want to Gen Pop in Wembley or the like for 10k Euros. 7 hour+ time difference has pregame here beginning at 8AM. 6 on the west coast.
