I'll usually talk during a movie when rewatching with a friend or family. But I wouldn't when in theaters unless I'm at the drive in. I don't understand how some people feel like their commentary adds to my movie experience at theaters.

Only at horror movies.

"No, don't go in there!"
"He's right behind you, a-hole!"
"Run, you idiot!"

You've just never heard good commentary, you're probably going to the wrong theaters. When me and my friends talk about the movie, everybody in the theater thinks it's hilarious, we enhance the experience.

I saw someone complain about this online once and there was an immediate reply calling him "Racist" and stating that talking during movies was an AA's cultural right and tradition. It went on to say that the guy shouldn't go to movies if he couldn't respect their rights.

It was, honestly, a brilliant turn around by the person assuming they were doing it as a troll. If they were serious, well... No comment.

When I am watching a movie for the first time I do not talk. If I am talking then I am not paying attention to the movie and nothing is more annoying than someone who tries to chit chat during a movie. If its something I have seen before and the people I am watching it with starts talking then I will talk, but in general the answer is no.
