We kept a shelter dogs name but he was 7 months old and had been returned by the previous family. So we had no idea if that was his name he knew for months or not and we liked it.

Rescued a puppy and the organization had named the litter after characters in the Lion King. We adopted “Kiara”. It was changed before we got home. Sadly, we were far too mundane with our choice, but it was still better than Kiara.

Our rescue was named Theo. Since he was a Husky/GSD we named him Zeus. He seemed to take it rather nicely.

The name the breeder gave our last dog was “The little prince of Mamou”

Once we put our deposit down our breeder asks for the name we will use for the puppy so she can start using this name for the puppy.
We put our deposit down at 4 weeks and picked her up at 8 weeks so she had 4 weeks to get her used to it.
Our breeder is A+ puppy came potty trained, she knew sit, lay and stay commands etc.
