Juste un peu.
No. My ancestors came from France. As in "New France"? As in there were about a million French speaking folks in the area we call "The Louisiana Purchase" when the original Acadians were being expelled from their Canadian region.

My grandpa spoke French until he went to school and forgot it when he learned English. After he learned English, his parents no longer spoke it (they spoke English).

May be a strange bump, but do we have enough cajun french speakers hear to warrant a french only thread?
