I guarantee you a large percentage of people that lived in that time, thought that things used to be much better.
Every person will think that the time in which he/she was young was better than the present, no matter what generation you're from.

Baby Boomer scum pieces of shite messed it up.

True, but we, for the most part, were a more civil society back then.

Doubt it. I'm sure the murders and rape reports just werent going viral on twitter and the facebook.
Have you ever talked to old people? The ones I've talked to will tell you that those days were better. My grandparents on my Dad's side often didn't even lock the doors when they left the house.

that's purely anecdotal.
The world is a safer place now

This alone is a good enough reason.
I get indignant when the power goes out for a day or two. I couldn't imagine living like that my entire life.

Back then people had manners, dressed classy, weren't in a rush, cared for others, businesses/Dr's weren't so greedy, things were built better, and there was a fear of God. I grew up in the late 70s and 80s and they were much better then these crappy times

Odds are good that when you're old, you'll say that the past was better.
Odds are also good that you could leave your doors unlocked now and not be robbed. I'd bet they're probably very similar to the odds your grandparents faced.

AC was invented in 1902 by Bill Carrier. This was 1915. You would have had it if you were an OT baller back then.

Do you sometimes wish we could go back to this America?
1915, well you'd be on the cusp of wwI for america. Only 3 years away from the Spanish flu pandemic that will kill 600k americans, as opposed to Ebola that killed like 3. The roaring 20's would be fun I guess, except for prohibition. Then you would get slapped with the worst financial crisis in modern times, quickly followed by wwii, where over 400k Americans would die.
So, no.

I'd definitely go back to the gold rush, wild west, saloons and gambling.
I'd be a blackjack dealer and a bar tender in a whorehouse with a quick draw and a short fuse, also a US Marshal.
