Wife, one son like the box fan noise. Me, I use a ceiling fan for the extra air movement. I don't hear shite when it comes to sleeping.....

absolutely...ave the lasko max performance blower fan...we take it everywhere for the noise and the wind circulation...

I used to sleep in complete silence. Maybe because I lived off Gardere in college and had to be alert to anyone breaking into my duplex.
Now I sleep with a ceiling fan and box fan for noise.

yep. i even travel with a fan too.
quickest way to get my arse out of bed in the morning is to just turn all of the fans off. nothing else is as effective...lights, noise, etc...i'll sleep through all of that, but if you turn the fans off, i'm awake, and pissed.
