Why? I have a right to eat even if someone else had to pay for it.

Friend,

At my best, yes. But I am not always at my best. It is my goal to make my life a constant prayer. Whether I am eating, walking, crafting, baking or fishing, I hope to make it prayerful.

Yours,

I saw a man eating alone and about to tuck into 5 lbs. of crawfish one day. He closed his eyes and said a quick prayer, and I don't think he had any idea anyone was watching him.

I never do it, but I have respect for that fellow.

No. I also don't leave a tooth under my pillow hoping the tooth fairy will visit me.

With my family we pray before meals on Sundays when at home. My in-laws like to pray at restaurants and that kind of annoys me.

At family gatherings.

Usually if one of my older uncles are there they handle it. They’re all really good at it.

Anytime one of us cousins get prayer duty at a family thing you can just feel the unspoken thought in the room that it wasn’t as good as when the old guys do it.

No. When a God delivers food to my table without me buying it or family making it ill start praying for it. In other words, when I come home and sit at a table with no food and it miraculously appears, it will deserve prayer.

No, because I don't believe in a deity. But I do if I'm at someone's house that does or they ask if they can say a little prayer at my house during a holiday dinner. I'm also not a total piece of shite.

I’m in this situation far too often. It’s stupid.

It’s all good though. There’s no reason to start shite over a quick 30 second religious ritual so I usually just keep quiet and respect their beliefs
