I like it completely silent and dark. The only noise is from the the fan. I don't see how some people fall asleep with the TV on.

Same. I am too busy actually paying attention to the dialogue.

Yep. Can't sleep with the tv on. I must have a fan though. It can be 28 degrees outside but I still need the airflow. When the electricity goes out in the middle of the night it's my fan going off that wakes me up.

The sound of a cheap arse box fan is music to my ears when going to sleep.

It's amazing to me how many people do this.

Ever since I discovered MTV Classic and the fact that it plays non-stop music videos (mostly 80s too!), I now leave that on when I go to sleep at night.

Swamp sounds? I mean. I like it but not exactly soothing.

I throw on classical music, thunderstorm or a Sasquatch podcast.

Just record Monday Night Football and listen to Booger and Witten. Puts me right to sleep the entire week and rarely get past the first quarter.

I put on a BBC nature Documentary.

Blue Planet,
planet Earth,
Wildest (islands, India, China, etc.)

Anything David Attenborough narrated

Educational and soothing

Never did until we had kids. Used a white noise sound machine while the baby slept in our room. When she moved to her room, we realized we missed the white noise so we bought another one. Then when I traveled for work, I missed having it so I bought another

Sound Machine

When it’s time to go to sleep I close my eyes and am out inside of a minute. It’s a gift

While I agree with this, it has to be real. All that thunder could be gun shots.

I subscribe to “Classic Baseball on the Radio” channel on YouTube. There are hundreds of complete games from the 1930’s through the 80’s. I go to bed listening to awesome shite like Babe Ruth playing in the All-Star game, Don Larsen’s perfect game, Dizzy Dean pitching in the 1934 World Series or Warren Spahn in the 1948 World Series, and games from Ebbets Field, the Polo Grounds, Old Comiskey, Old Yankee Stadium, and Crosly Field. Pure, relaxing bliss.
