I consider the morning shite more important than making the bed. Preferably after the shower has been running for ten minutes while I really wake up and the room gets nice and steamy.

Our maid washes the sheets and makes our bed every morning. It’s the little things that make all the difference.

I’ll pull the sheets and comforter tight and straighten the sleeping pillows. But I ain’t arranging the dozen decorative pillows ever night. frick all that.

It’s made everyday but I’d prefer it not be. Feels better and cooler when unmade.

No, I make it with my wife when she gets home from work so we can spend a little time together.

Growing up that was a battle my mom gave up on. So I didn’t do it as an adult. But about 3 years ago I read the quote mentioned above and thought it made sense. I’ve been doing it ever since and I gotta say, there’s something to it. Walking by the bedroom and seeing the bed made is positive energy.
At 8 I was taught and I’ve done it since then. I also can wash and fold clothes, dishes, iron, sew a button and a few more domestic tasks. My mother taught all 9 kids well.

If my wife gets up first, then I’ll make it. If I get up first, she will. The kids were taught to make it every morning unless the sheets were being washed that day.

I get up before my wife, however I do pull my covers back up on my side. As soon as I get up my dog jumps up and takes my spot.

I used to not…. Now that I’m 38 and a grown up it is a must do. Having a tight tidy bed is a must or I do not sleep as well. Fitted sheet must be pulled tight.
People who don’t make their beds daily land on my trashy level now

Yeah, but I don't tuck the sheets under the corners. I just lay the top sheet and blanket neatly over the top.

No. I get mad every night because my wife makes it and I have to take all of the pretty pillows off to get in it

This. When single, there were two pillows, one sheet and some sort of light blanket. If a chick was coming over, I'd take the top sheet and blanket and pull it up to near where the pillow was. Folding corners, etc? No. I went as far to sleep on top of my bunk with a non regulation blanket (a woobie) to avoid making that shite, way back when.
Then, we get married, and you start to have to own furniture to stack all the decorative bedding you don't use on, every day. I didn't create that disaster, someone else (ex-wife) needed to deal with it, it wasn't my idea. I had garbage to take out, breakfast to make, etc.

I make mine. It takes three extra minutes, and your room will instantly look neater, and more presentable. I find a made bed more comfortable to get into as well.

All I can think of is the scene from Along Came Polly where he calculates how many minutes a day he spends putting on and taking off throw pillows

This comment made me LOL:

There's a reason they call them throw pillows. They're meant to be thrown out the f'ing window.

Yes. Every day, because I am adult...and an old jarhead.

I make my bed every morning as soon as I roll out. It’s easy since I don’t move much during sleep.
