Do you make your bed in the morning?

My house is clean, at least clean for a house with two young boys running around in it. We don’t leave dishes sitting out, dirty clothes are in hampers, toys are picked up at the end of the night, vacuum multiple times a week, etc…

I don’t make the bed unless company is coming over, I just don’t see the point? You’re getting right back in it that night. If the sheets are all crumpled up or the bottom has become untucked sure I’ll make it, and obviously when we wash our sheets every week the bed is made. Otherwise it stays unmade, even when the rest of the house stays clean.

I don't, but it's made every night I get into it.

Eewww. You get in an unmade bed every night?

Has your husband already left you?

(1) If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed.

My wife makes it every morning.

But if I were single, I’d make it every day myself. Nothing worse than climbing into bed and the sheets and blankets aren’t in crisp order.

I do because my wife prefers it made & she gets up earlier than I do
She was gone for most of the week for work & it didn’t get made

Yea I’ve read this quote. I accomplish tasks every single day anyway, don’t need to make the bed for that, hell my kids force that on me anyway

It takes about 10 seconds to pull the blankets back up and put the pillow on top. Do people really not do this?

It’s like the shopping cart, it takes what two minutes to make the bed. Personally, I’ve always felt a made bed slept better the next night

It’s not like the shopping cart because putting up the shopping cart is going a little out of the way to help the next person, I always do that.

Making my bed does not help anyone, getting into a made bed does not help me sleep or make me feel better so I don’t see the point

Yeah only bc my dog will climb up there and burrow into the covers all day and I’ll come home to hairy sheets and blankets on the ground sometimes

Yes. It starts the day with a single accomplishment to build on plus I like getting into a made bed at the end of the day.

Add to that, the ghost of SSgt Stromille will come out of my closet and smoke me if I don’t make it and that means I make my damn bed.

In a hotel it feels weird to walk out of the room with the bed unmade.

Frick no playa.

However, when the cleaning ladies come, it’s nice to show up to a made bed with the pillows all arranged nice and new sheets. It feels like it’s made with love.

I mean, I’m not gonna do it personally but i will accept it when the ladies do it and appreciate it then

That is why I don't make my bed.
