Do you let a brand owners actions/beliefs affect your decision to buy their product?

Nike bothered me some, but I still wear and buy their stuff.....It's silly to torture yourself and not watch NFL, if you really used to enjoy watching NFL. My favorite show ever is Curb Your Enthusiasm, and everyone on and associated with that show is a flaming liberal.

about 99% of the time i have no clue, nor do i care, about their views or stances.
i will however avoid a product if they have an annoying as frick commercial that plays to damn often.

depends. I'm not supporting businesses I don't like if I have another option (think Academy v. Dicks Sporting goods).
But if there's a benefit for me, I don't worry about what they believe/think. I like Nike. I don't care if they use Collin Kapperdick as a spokesperson.

In general, no. It really depends on if that person's views will affect me and my buying experience as a customer.
So, to explain. Although I disagree with Gillete's commercial, I have no problem going to the store and buying a product. Because they won't force me to watch the commercial again at the register, nor is the cashier going to condemn me for being a toxic man or anything.
I have seen instances online where maybe a restaraunt or a retail store employee was being racist or just extremely ignorant. That would deter me from doing business with that one particular establishment. But I will not stop eating at all Popeyes just because of 1 single location with terrible employees.
Or maybe take it to Papa Johns. The guy said something, a lot of people think he is racist. Personally, I don't really know if he is racist or even care for that matter. All I know, is that whether he is or is not does not affect my buying experience with my local store 1 bit. Unless the Papa John's employee start telling me "here's your N-word pizza you stupid N-Word", I have absolutely zero desire or need to all of a sudden boycott the entire company just because of what the former CEO said.

well i look at it like this:
i don’t actively seek out anyone’s political/religious/personal views unless it is someone i know and respect personally.
if they don’t fall into that category, then i don’t care.
and the channels i watch on TV or listen to on the radio ain’t even going to mention anything like that either.
so i’m usually completely in the dark about any of it.
and amazingly happy because of it.
i can only think of 1 place of business that i absolutely refuse to enter.
and that because the owner and i have crossed paths a few times and i will drive to Alaska if that’s what it takes to avoid giving that prick a penny of my money.
