Absolutely I do. I would still do it (freelance on occasion, not for my current company) if I won the lottery.

I like the traveling part of it and love my boss and his boss where we all three have agreed to not contact each other on Friday unless it’s an emergency.

I enjoy what I do and get along very well with most of my coworkers. But I sometimes get frustrated with the demands of the job.

Yes, but I worry about finances.

I have to admit that I am a worry wart who always fears and expects the worst case scenario. I would worry about something else if I was financially secure.

I enjoy my work very much but I don’t always enjoy how much/how long I have to do it.

I thoroughly enjoy my job.

Took many years of school, residency, and fellowship to get it

For my area and what I do, it’s one of the better paying jobs. Shift work sucks now I’m older. And the younger guys they hire for the most parts don’t give a damn and you gotta pick up their slack time to time. Management seems too nervous to say anything or write them up. We don’t have a high turnover, and I guess they like it that way. But when push comes to a shove, they’ll call you up front for a meeting and send you packing. It’s just they let it go wayyyy too long before that happens.

Edit. We’ve done a lot of “automation” in recent years. But the newer guys don’t understand that it isn’t perfect and computers can fail. They think they can just hit GO and walk away. It works 99% of the time, but it’s the 1% that’ll bite you in the arse if you don’t keep an eye on it. shite can go from awesome to holy shite in a minute, and they don’t know what to do when it does. It’s like a babysitting service daily.

I enjoy it a hell of a lot more than any other job I’ve had

I wouldn’t do if I didn’t need the money though

Just quit my job at a Big 4 in a large city. Likely the most miserable experience of my life. The job itself was fairly boring but the level of brown nosing and throwing others under the bus was something I had never witnessed before. Truly a gross environment.

Wouldn't stay here if I didn't.
