We are friends with some of our neighbors and acquainted with others.

We spend a lot of time with one couple nextdoor (1)and I think irritates the couple on the other side.(2)

One night we stayed up partying. We got deliriously drunk and started playing music and dancing. We went to about 2 am. It was a blast.

A few days later, I went outside and we had been rolled. I can’t help thinking that my neighbors (2) did it.
My kids are long gone.

I was talking to another neighbor down the street and he said he thought it was done by my neighbor (2) next door. He said he saw the wife buying large quantities of toiletpaper at the walgreens.

Yes. Imagining my house in the center of a 3x3 grid of houses, I know 6 of the homeowners in the 8 houses surrounding me. All of them are wonderful neighbors. Some older, some younger, some with kids, some with pets. The other two houses have had several young adults move in and out of them in my brief time here (18 months) so I'm guessing they're rentals.

This is in a nice, quiet slice of Collin County, TX. My neighborhood kicks arse.

This, word for word, is the beginning of the Next Great American Novel.

I'm afraid that I'll be talking about heinous crimes the home schooled kids commit in the later chapters. I guess that would make it a more compelling read.

We know and are friendly with our neighbors on each side and across the street.

The two ladies who live across the street from us hate each other with the passion of a thousand suns. They passive agressively go at each other to no end. It's amusing.

Apartment-renting poor here, no I don't, although my 7th neighbor in the 15 months I've been here looks like he's actually sticking around so maybe I'll change that. Had a string of single mommies that obviously didn't pay rent judging by their quick stays so stayed the hell away from that.

Before I moved out here I generally kept tabs on my neighbors anywhere I'd live. Seems like a less and less common thing for my generation though.

Life tip, don't get stuck being a poor

Yes. We have been in our house for 20 years and know everyone in the cul de sac except for the house directly across from us. They rent and keep to themselves. I am not sure anyone in the cul de sac know them.

Hijaking the thread but why do people who have older kids think parents with younger kids want their advice? Look at what they did to the current generation, why would I want their advice?

My neighbor behind me is my doctor. Before his wife died he would bring produce from his garden to our back gate. I know all of my neighbors and deal with several as part of my work. One is a very crazy old lady and I try to stay away from her.

We are super close with our neighbors next door. We are currently moving, and the only reason we havent moved sooner is because we have awesome neighbors. We hang out, our kids hang out, and we cook for each other all the time
