Man if Will Blackwell hasn’t spilled the beans about it yet then I don’t think anything major happened.

Then you are a fricking retard. If I don't like someone's threads I usually just ignore them.

But then you wouldn't know my displeasure with your idiotic, grating, incoherent, rambling, and entirely fictional posting style.

The forgotten Cameron Parish Marsh Virus.

In the early 20th Century, a small population of people thrived in the marshes of Cameron Parish. Little shanty shacks on piers just above the tidal highs, served as camps occupied during the harvest seasons, whether that be oysters, fish, crab, shrimp, water fowl or furs and big game.

People made a living out there, isolated and accessible only by boat. At any given time of year, you'd probably find around a hundred people living out in this marsh.

At a camp one day in the early 1940's, a trapper fell sick. His wife fell sick, too. They both died in their cabin, discovered a few days later. The folks who found them got fatally sick, too. Then their families became sick. Word spread quickly about a deadly marsh virus on the loose.

A nurse from the nearest hospital was asked to venture out into the marsh with medical supplies to see what could be done to help these people from dying so quickly. The nurse went out, and, after a week and half, never came back.

At this point, federal officials swooped in because this was during the paranoia of German warfare tactics. The government demanded a cease of contact with all people in the marsh. Everyone living out there perished in a matter of days from this mysterious killer. It was kept quiet to prevent spreading fear and panic in a tense pre-war environment.

There's never been an explanation for what struck the people in the forgotten Cameron Parish Marsh Virus.
