Do you know anyone who is trans?

I wouldn't say I know this person, but a guy I went to high school with is now trans. I haven't seen this guy since we graduated in the 90's, but we are facebook friends. We weren't friends back then, but had some classes together. He was always a little different and I guess I would describe him as someone who struggled to find their identity. Like the guy would be the biggest metal head ever, then suddenly show up to school wearing boots, cowboy hat, and telling everyone how great George Strait is like no one noticed this sudden change.
So a couple years ago he made some long winded post about transitioning to a woman and his posts have been a total shite show ever since. He was married before to a heterosexual woman, then he became a woman and was genuinely shocked that it caused a problem.
They are still together somehow, for now.
But he/she have given me a slight glimpse into the mind of mental instability and it's freaking scary. I seriously fear for him/her and how he's going to end up. The only post I've ever commented on is one where he mentioned hurting himself and I advised that he seek help.
I lost one of my best friends to suicide, so I don't take that lightly.
Anyway, I'm just blown away with how people are trying to act like this is normal and should be accepted. This guy clearly has serious mental issues and needs help. I hope he can find the help he needs before he does try to hurt himself. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he got caught giving blowies behind a dumpster at work and totally lost it.

Half the workers I encounter in pet stores confuse me. Some of them have to be trans.

No but I know one who cross dresses .. not at work but he’s very openly gay at work.

There was a guy at the public library that used to come in that was dressed like a girl and went by a girl name
I didn’t care but one time I said ‘yes, sir’ and he got really mad and reported me to my superiors.
The five o clock shadow threw me, and his library card said William.
Sorry, not sorry.

In the first 40 years of my life I knew exactly one trans person. Now, 5 years later, 2 of my 8 cooks are trans and on estrogen.
Eta- they're pretty fricking militant about pronouns with all the younger folks, but, I guess age has it's privileges because they don't care that I use he/him to refer to them.

Went to grad school with a gal that was only gay at the time. She is now a he and it's quite disconcerting. She's also in the Navy, so that makes sense. Never had any issues with her though, but this was all before 2018 and the woke take over.
