Do you know anyone that injured or killed themselves inserting a Q-tip too far?

You can bust an ear drum relatively easily, but if you manage to kill yourself with a q-tip, something was going to do you in sooner than later.

Its clear his parents told him not to play with Razor Blades or Q-Tips and he hasn't deviated from that line of thought.

I don't know the rules about swabbing out your urethra, but personally I would follow the same ones that apply to the ear canal even more closely.

The end of it broke off in my ear. It caused really bad headaches. Went to urgent care and the doc was able to remove it.

Mom, now 82, had to have back surgery in her late 60's. Turns out it was from all the cracks my brothers and I stepped on when we were younger.
