I don't consider myself a know it all, but if someone mentions something I know nothing about I study it.
I like being able to surprise people with my knowledge.

Have a co-worker like that.
He doesn't have any kids yet, and the worst is when he tries to one-up with one of his niece/nephew stories. Really dude?

I worked with two. One was a guy and he had something to say about almost literally everything. But at least he was competent and well-informed. And he was pretty smart.

But I also used to work with a lady who thought she knew everything. She would constantly one-up everything anybody else said, and it didn't matter how mch you knew about something...she knew it better and let you know. Plus, I think she literally was incapable of sitting in silence for more than a few minutes without having to start talking about whatever popped into her head. I couldn't stand it one day and I told her "It must be nice knowing everything about everything." I wasn't even mean about it, but I just wanted to get my point across to her how annoying she was being. That at least shut her up for a little while.

Perhaps you might consider using another word other than "micromanager". The words we use are very important, just as important as our intended meaning. You might want to pay closer attention to your vocabulary, which will certainly help in your future business and personal endeavors.

actually overexpansion of the vocabulary, being excessively verbose, and grandiloquent in the workplace, particularly by a manager or supervisor can lead to subordinate intimidation and the ultimate lack of productivity, therefore being counterproductive to the overall mission statement

I would really appreciate it if you checked your privilege and stopped trying to white-mansplain.

Ignorance can make the world seem like a better place. Alleviates disappointment.

Yeah, I don't really enjoy reading books, but I'll spend hours researching something on the internet, browsing Wikipedia, watching informational videos on YouTube, etc.
