don't have any kids but all of my firearms are locked up in a safe. Pistol in nightstand in a quick access safe. Open it almost every night, one to make sure it works and secondly to remember the code.

I'll never understand why people keep their weapons in a box that's not immediately accessible. If you don't have curious kids, all you need to do is trust the people you let in your home and not tell them where your firearms are, and you're good to go

No kids. Guns locked up now because my house is listed for sale and I do not want to have the run home every time someone may view to lock them up.

Honestly, you really never know. As in, you really never know when someone can be at your house, see gun and decide to pick it up. When I was a teenager, the neighbors on each side of my house had a child who got shot. One shot herself while playing with the gun and the other. He was at a friend's house, he was 15-16 yrs old, and the friend whose house he was at took his shot gun out the closet, thought it was unloaded, pointed at the guy I was friends with & pretended to shoot him, however; it wasn't a pretend shot. The guy who got shot was laying on the bed with his arm holding his head up reading something so his hand and wrist took took most of the impact however, his face was really messed up, but if his hand wasn't there & his face would have taken the initial impact it could have been a different story. Bottom line, you really never know. If you feel like you want to take that risk then thats on you.

You don't even qualify as a normal Cajun, much less an epic one.

I have no doubt this is true. There are some paranoid SOB's on this board.

Kids (12, 15, 18)
I keep them in a locked cabinet
My kids wouldn't have any problems getting to them if needed. They also know not to touch them unless .... A) Their parents are home or B) someone is trying to break in and hurt them.

No kids in my home. I keep a 9mm, a .45, a 12 gauge and an AR stashed in accessible places around my house. All are loaded.

Most of my guns are locked in safe, but I have 4 others hidden throughout the house. Some of them will be moved once our kid is old enough to walk

Have 2 teenagers guns are not locked up. They know how to use all of them and where more ammo is located. Kids who know about guns and respect them are better off.

Nope. Mine stays ready to rock on a shelf. If I have company over, I lock it in my office.
