IDGAF.
I wear boots to work and if when I'm in shorts on the weekends I'm in hey dudes, chacos, hiking boots, or crocs.
ETA: When I worked at a casino I paid attention to shoes. You could pretty reliably tell who actually had money and who was trying to look like they had money by their shoes.

I like to dress down my suit or dress up my jeans with some nice lace up or Chelsea boots. And it's not tight, but fitted and tailored. I don't want to look like I'm attending the 2003 NBA draft

Yes, sneakers with a suit is stupid if you're an adult.
I have several pair of Hey-Dudes but I treat them as a house shoe or wear them on the boat.

Both of those are awful. Hey Dudes might be worse than crocs. The white sole "dress shoes" might be worse than tennis shoes with suits.
Edit: I don't care if other people wear them and don't judge people based off of them, but I certainly think in my head "my god those are awful."

This-----ALL of this.
Wearing tennis shoes with a suit is just plain dumb in my eyes. It's like you're a 10 yr. old to do something like that.
Skinny jeans and tight clothes don't look good on many women and they look absolutely ridiculous on a man. If your suit pants are so tight that it hugs your calves like an Ace bandage, you need lessons in how to pick out clothing.
And almost every man I saw wearing Crocs was doing so because they were way too fat to bend over to tie a pair of shoelaces.

I don't get the problem with these ? If you're not wearing them with a tuxedo, or a 3 piece suit, I think they look fine. I personally don't like the hey dude shoes, but as long as people don't wear those with a suit I guess they are OK.
