Eliminate alcohol permanently. Best sleep of my life.

late 50's . my issues are 1) I dream too much (usually vivid and often multiple) and wake up coming out of a dream and have a hard time getting back to sleep. for some reason that's around 5:00 and I finally get back to sleep when my wife is showering, around 6:45. then wake up 20 minutes later.
and 2) bladder is full around that same time 4:30- 5:30. however if I get up around 2-ish, no trouble getting to sleep. Even if I go at 10:30 /11, still wakes me up too soon.

Things that work for me:
1. Permanently stop drinking alcohol
2. Strength training
3. Cardio (at least 10k steps a day)
4. Limit caffeine to one cup of coffee early in morning. No other caffeine past noon.
5. Don’t eat sugar at night
6. Meditation

Every single night. Getting more than 5 hours of sleep in a night is pretty rare for me.

Cycling Frog Delta 9 Gummies 10 CBD:10 THC
Cut in half, take one half 90 minutes before desired sleep time, take the second half 60 minutes after the first.
Get in a route of exercising in the AM, eat dinner early and no water after 7:30 or 8.

You could have sleep apneia. You might consider a sleep study. CPAP has done wonders for my sleep quality.
If that doesn’t work I saw a chick on insta yesterday saying 3 drops of castor oil massaged in her belly button has her sleeping like a rock. Might be worth a try.

Get a sleep study done. You might have the apnea.

I didn’t read all of the posts in this thread….but I find when you have trouble sleeping, the cause is virtually always stress that you can’t turn off when it is time to go to sleep.
Figure out a way to put your mind at ease, and you will sleep well.

Just wait until you get older.

Yes. I take melatonin, magnesium and listen to soft, calm music.

Try 5HTP instead of melatonin. Has worked wonders for me and the broken back I have to try and get sleep with.

I rarely have trouble falling to sleep, then usually get 6, 7, or 8 hours. I had my knee replaced 8 days ago. I've averaged less than one hour sleep nightly since. This feeling is horrible. Can't wait to get back to normal.

Sleep is overrated.

I take a couple hits of cannabis a couple hrs before bedtime and sleep like a baby.

Just get used to it. It’s never leaving.
