This is why I love having a salaried position in the hospital that involves no direct patient care.
No more working holidays. I feel your pain though, I hope you at least get some holiday pay.
I'm off tomorrow...but am carrying the infection control on call phone. If I get a call I don't have to come in, just need to be able to give guidance over the phone for whatever situation it is in the hospital and possibly alert public health if it's something serious.

I own an insurance agency.
Haven’t had a day off since I opened it 3.5 years ago.
Hope to be able to take days off in like 2 years.

I don't care. I still make really good money, work a M-F 8 hour/day gig,can still wear my scrubs if I want, and never have to ever clean up bodily fluids again as a floor nurse. I also don't have to deal with understaffing on the floors. And I actually enjoy the job and am sitting pretty to stay in my role until retirement if I want before I collect my state pension.
And they don't hate us whenever the hospital is facing a massive TB or measles exposure. Or when the CLABSI and CAUTI rates are going up and the hospital is gonna be penalized by CMS because of it. They sure do kiss our arse then trying to figure out what the frick to do.

Yep. A paid day off for me, so I'll gladly take it (or potentially work for an automatic time and a half, whichever I'm feeling tomorrow).
