Do you have any half-siblings? I personally have two (half-sister on Mom’s side and half-brother on Dad’s side).

It’s always bothered me when people only consider full siblings “real” brothers and sisters. I know you only share half DNA with them, but in my opinion, half siblings are still legit siblings that are family, no matter what.

What is your relationship like with your half siblings, if you have any?

I have 5, and I consider them full siblings.

My older brothers are technically half-siblings. Their father was a piece of shite who abused my mother and left her in poverty while he partied in the late 70's and early 80's. My dad raised them since they were 8 and 4 and they've never seen their sperm donor since. Other than differences in appearance, there is nothing about our relationship that would indicate anything other than complete fraternity and love.

I have a younger sister from my dad. She’s 1.5 years older than my oldest.

Did he apologize for partying?

lol

To the best of my knowledge, he was working out on rigs in the GoM and making good money that he spent on blow and loose women while my mom had to rely on her parents to sleep in a warm place and feed herself and my brothers.

well, I have this weird story … years ago I went to stay with my dad in Texas and he went to this bar nightly - well, one woman that used to go to the bar with her husband was supposedly a childhood friend of my dad’s. She told me she had gotten pregnant by my dad in high school and gave up the baby

Her husband told me that she was looney, and my dad said he was gone out of that city by the time the woman was in high school

So I’ve always wondered

I am sure my dad is terrified of my sister or myself taking one of those online DNA tests...

My dad was married briefly before he married my mom when he was pretty young (23 or so). I've never met the lady and to my knowledge they had no children

My father has an identical twin. Do the twins kids count as my half-siblings since the twins have identical DNA?

A half sister that's older than me, we have no relationship though, and I don't truly know the whole situation.

Many years ago she added me on Facebook and after a few weeks I messaged her, she never responded back. That was nearly 15 years ago.
