re: Do you have a concealed & carry license?

I really just don't see the point. We are an open carry state. If I shoot a bad guy, are the cops really going to ask for my license? Probably not, either I was open carrying or I had a gun in a "gun free zone." Either way, a license isn't needed.

I agree and like I said, I hope he never has to face a situation where it's even an issue.

Agree with you again.

I, in no way, am saying that all who carry are paranoid.
It is the ones that say they are genuinely afraid to go out in public without their gun that I find to be paranoid.

Well yes. If I ever pull my weapon on someone, I'm counting on it escalating to a new, more dangerous level. For that guy. Pew pew pew.
ETA: Prosecutors in the future, this is a joke.

Careful. As I was informed by my uber liberal facebook friends, I will more than likely blow away someone's grandma or a college student then stop the shooter.
Although I tried explaining to them my first move would be to duck and hide, my gun drawn in case the shooter rounded the corner to put a bullet in me, but they didn't care.

Officer: what happened here Coach?
Me: guy was going to shoot me. I shot him first.
Officer: well I'm glad to see you are ok. Now, can I see your license to carry that gun concealed?
Me: it wasn't concealed.

You mean the guys that go jogging strapped up?
That's no way to live, IMO.

I understand, and I don't think it's reasonable either. I do know some good folks like that though.
My uncle, from the rural portion of the Atlanta suburbs (and the guy who got me into shooting), once looked at me crazily and said "oh we don't go downtown," when I invited him to something.

Yes, I do. I carry everywhere I go, unless I know I'll be getting drunk or I'm going somewhere that prohibits guns.

I hope that would be sufficient wherever you were. But if that happened in a less friendly jurisdiction, I hope you have an OWB holster on hand.
Going through the process of determining whether a shooting was justified would be messy enough, I don't want to complicate it by lying about open carrying.

That's possible. There are situations where it's best to hand over your wallet or whatever and let them go instead of having bullets fly around you and your family. But it's also possible there could arise a situation where you do need a firearm and you need to use that firearm. The tragedy in Louisiana last night is a perfect example. Thankfully the odds are very low you'd ever face that or a similar situation. But the chance is still there. And personally, I'd rather be equipped for that situation by (1) having a firearm and (2) being properly trained on the use of that firearm, and run the risk I'll never need it than to be in that situation and having no other option than to sit there with my wife and kids waiting for our turn to be slaughtered.

Jogging is kind of dangerous dude, especially for females and at least in comparison to running out to IKEA. Sounds like a burden to carry while running, but I wouldn't fault anyone for feeling compelled to carry when they're out, alone, sometimes at night, etc.

oh yeah, and good bye to your gun. You may get it back, but you most likely will never see it again after it becomes evidence.

OP:
That theater and most theaters are gun free zones so even if you had concealed carry permit, you'd be leaving your pistol in your van.

We need more people that can admit this.
Owning a handgun and carrying it are fine, but training is necessary to make one effective as well as able to prevent harm to those around them.
It's a bit scary when you see people on the range do dumb shite then talk about how they carry everywhere.
If you CC, please get involved in some sort of advanced training that teaches you how to react to dynamic situations. Shooting at static targets, unfortunately, gives many people a false sense of ability.

I carry, but my work can take me to shady areas.
Lots of guys in my profession carry, especially those in small firms or solo practitioners.

To be fair, that should probably be assumed in any shoot
