Well I’ve tried but the Mrs seems to try and wiggle away from me when I do. It’s a little cat and mouse game she likes to play.

But back to Okra. The best pickled ones are the shorter ones you can just eat whole. Larger ones don’t take as well to the pickling process. Several years ago I had a garden out back. Typical tomatoes, beans, corn, okra, cukes, and other random veggies. The okra produced like gang busters. I had about a dozen large mason jars of pickled okra. I fried more okra than an old southern meat and three. Was a bountiful summer.

I like how this board is the trash police but a 2 page thread about eating the stem of picked okra is perfectly acceptable
