there are good ole baws from all over our great country, but that doesn't mean they are southern.
Another question and answer. Is BBQ a noun or a verb, and what I mean by that is if you go to a BBQ then there has to be actually BBQ (noun) (pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket etc). Or if you are going to a BBQ (verb) you are really just grilling hot dogs and hamburgers (not southern)

"You'uns," "y'uns," or "yinz" is more Pittsburgh and W PA.

Western and DC/Balt part of Maryland = Northern State.
Southern abd Eastern Shore = more like a Southern State.

A Yankee talking guy came in a place I worked and asked, “What is that?”
It was okra. I asked where he was from that he didn’t know what okra was. Maryland.
That makes them Northern.
