I wouldn’t consider it. But not that crazy of a notion considering The Bahamas are member of the Caribbean. Not much difference geographically

Nope. The Bahamas are part of the West Indies and are in the Atlantic.

I know some people get confused in the aquarium hobby because a TON of Caribbean species are collected in the Key's. Underwater there probably isn't much difference between the wildlife. It is definitely in the gulf though.
