The most overrated and overpriced brand there is.

Overpriced- I agree. Overrated- No way. One of the best made knives on the market.

I buy cheap ones now because I lose expensive ones. The cheaper they get, the longer they last. Go figure

There are some excellent cheap knives on the market.

But I'm the opposite. I find the more I pay for something, the better I take care of it.

It wasnt for a lack of care. It was the nature of the work.

What cheap ones do you suggest?

Every single day.

Today it's a Kershaw assisted opening (nothing fancy, a "don't care if I tear up" model), and my everyday-carry Leatherman Sidekick.

Just one more thing to lose.

A buddy bought me a decent one. I have my grandpas “Old Timer”. If I had a different job I’d definitely be the guy with either a sentimental or badass “shave with it” pocket knife.

I carry a 1.5" blade on my keychain. It mostly gets used for opening boxes.

USA made Kershaw Leeks (standard) are $45.

Ontario Rat 2 is a very popular knife under $40.

CIVIVI Ortis Flipper is $40. Made in China, but good knives.

Even cheaper, I would consider a CRKT. They have several models from $25-30.

I love the carbon fiber and wood bolster.

That’s pretty slick. My 940-1 is basically the same just all carbon fiber. I never even knew they made that one.
