I carry one about half of the time. Kinda depends on what I'm doing and where I will be.

I always keep a swiss-army style knife in my backpack that I take pretty much everywhere. Its got a sweet looking grizzly bear on it with a mountain backdrop.

Its like a machete, but the wife got it for me. Its engraved and stuff, she got mad I wasnt carrying it so now I carry it all the time instead of a lighter option.

I carry two. A Kershaw clip knife and an old carbon steel Schrade Trapper. The pocket knife changes occasionally, though.

What kind do you have? I have two standard beech/carbon, and one olivewood/stainless.

Funny story.

I work in a construction oriented business. We had a kid from our office in Bristol, England here for training. He was telling us about how it was illegal to carry knives in England. At which point I informed him that he was probably the only one in the training class WITHOUT a knife. Promptly, every redneck in the room whipped out their carry knife. Thought the poor kid was gonna have a heart attack.

Another really handy one is a credit card knife. Fits in your wallet and it works for really simple tasks require a sharp edge. They are really cheap too so if you forget about it and need to trash it at the airport or something you can order another one.

Case Trapper / Mini Trapper / Sod Buster. I have one of these in my pocket just about everyday.
