A bunch of welders are about to be in this thread telling you business cards are stupid and no one uses them anymore.

I've worked in a white collar job for nearly 20 years and I've never had business cards

I just send my contact from my cell phone to who ever I'm talking to right then and there. So much easier.

And do business card styles really have a play in getting business?

It's dependent on the occupation and doesn't make up a huge factor in getting business but sure it has a part.

I’ve had ones with several different companies over the years. They’re useful for networking events or when I’m out and come across a good lead. There’s definitely a correlation between professionalism of card and business in my experience

Yep, and this will eventually lead to the death of the business card as we know it.

I do like them though, and I spent literally hours picking out the last ones I had made.

I still keep one of mine from my first "real job" I ever had in my wallet. Its a good way to get some perspective every now and then

The movie is the only time I've seen that done.

Everywhere I've worked, everybody gets the same style of business cards, because they're company-issued.

I never have a business card on me. I give people my number all the time and get peoples numbers. I feel like cards are used by salesmen a lot more than anyone else.

Are you referring to the card, or that other monstrosity?

Dude...is that a thumb or a big toe?
