I’m sorry to hear that.
God made each of us with our own experiences both good and bad and He gave us the free will to live close to Him or far from Him. I’ve tasted both and I salivate for the former.

In Gods eyes, a year is only a second so "soon" is a word that is vague so I can't answer your question. I hope it's soon. Too many people need to answer for what they've done. It is well with my soul.

Well, aren't you special? Attitudes like this one bring all religion down. Rule 1. We're ALL assholes. Unworthy Prick.

As for as I can remember there have always been people who thinks the world is coming to an end soon.

WTF is this OP? Someone put a "cap" in my arse.

Probably end with a whimper. Population begins to contract, asteroid hits the earth as the population dwindles and they're incapable of surviving due to dependence on technology. Disagree. One thing about humans is that we are surprisingly adaptable. We’ve spread to every continent on the globe. We’ve dammed rivers and drained swamps and leveled mountains. We’ve survived plague and famine and global war. Sure, many may die, but I think you’d see a sort of reset, a return to Bronze Age stuff as humanity was reborn. And in time the stories would turn to legends would turn to myths, and the young people would never believe that man once flew in the air like a bird, or created a magic box that could see across the world. Hell, maybe we’ve already done so. Many times

Quite possible.

I think, as a species, we're getting close (50-150 years) to the point where we will be able to prevent the majority of extinction level events or an event that will retard humanity as a whole.

The information age has been progressing nicely for the past 50-70 years. Eventually another age will dawn where those born into it will look at our time as being quaint and almost primitive. Perhaps the start of that age is upon us with advancements in AI, space travel moving into the private sector, genetic manipulation in the medical field, and fusion power becoming a real possibility. In my opinion, once we reach type 1 status on the Kardashev scale we'll have set a new floor for our species.

If you believe it is close, whom would you say is the 3rd antichrist? Trump? Putin? AOC?

Will the mark of the beast be a microchip in our wrist?

Or will it be the earth that does it to us because
Mother nature is undefeated, when she is ready, she will purge the earth of most of us.
