I had what sounded like an outdated musical instrument start playing in the middle of the night

We've woken up several times over the last few years to old carousel sounding music, just loud enough to.

I think the 3 "people" in front are actually ghosts. The soldier never saw them.

Right. The ghost is playing carousel music. Is it just me or are ghosts the worst pranksters ever?

I mean they come back to the dead to frick with people and all we get is playing some damned carnival music, running across the floor or some kid crying.

These ghosts need to step their game up

I'm saying your mind was playing tricks on you based on the fact that someone died in your house

Eh. The 100 year old house my mom lived in til she passed away was owned by a man we knew from our church. He passed away at the home, actually wasn't found for several days. We knew him well, knew how and in what room he died, yet never noticed anything creepy. And if anyone was susceptible to the power of suggestion, it was us.

It wasn't really loud, pervasive is the word I would describe. It was as loud in the back of the house as at the source, but you could still get a direction from it.

We heard three different tones, repeated in a pattern, over and over and over.

We heard the music once in New Orleans, in an old house we lived in, and also here in Mandeville. What's crazy is as my son has gotten older, now 6, the experiences occur less and less frequently.

what would be your explanation for tv turning itself on many times? for pocket doors you left open to be closed while you're upstairs (and home alone)

Are there other people in the house? Maybe the door aren't hung properly and depending on the temperature they'll close on their own. I have doors that slowly close on their own during the winter months.

Yet, those who believe in ghosts do it constantly.

I said nothing about conversion only that the people who believe in ghosts try to do what you decried and describe the unknown in anthropomorphic terms.

Yeah I wrote a book in the other thread. It is what it is. I'm a natural skeptic, but I have that sound stuck in my head now again. I don't think I'll ever forget it. Never heard anything make that sound before or after.

I also don't understand why some people, who have never experienced anything either, are so eager to claim that these people that have supposedly seen things are all wrong.

Well other than the fact that there is absolutely no evidence that they saw or experienced anything beyond hysterics or other psychiatric symptoms, I suppose you are correct.

Well put it this way partner. If you believe in JC you believe in the devil. If you believe the devil is real. You gotta believe demons are real. To me it seems logical. Not that I really like to think about demons n shite.

No one is describing demons, just old men and ladies screwing with their TV, doors and ATV engines.

We got drunk and fricked in every position imaginable in the guest bedroom. When I woke up later that night I felt a presence in the bedroom. I turned over and saw Billy (his first wife) standing at the foot of the bed. She looked upset. I buried my head in the cover because I could not comprehend what I saw. I was scared to death and poked my GF awake and asked her to look. She saw nothing and neither did I when I took my head out from under the cover.

Drunk and hypnopompic hallucination. Not a ghost.

This is the problem with every one of you ghost believers. I don't have an answer, therefore the answer is ghosts. It's far more likely that you forgot to pick up the shoe, your daughter threw it, etc. than it is that a freakin ghost threw a shoe.

This is where these threads devolve into one side saying there is no evidence and it gets into a battle of testing scientific evidence of something, whatever that may be, against what is inherently unscientific (as far as we know). The "evidence" here is mostly testimonial, yes, but some of it convincing enough that outright dismissing it is ignorant.

What about the story on page 3 about the "ghost" of the orderly in the Jackson hospital. This kid's dad hadn't mentioned anything like that to him. Yet, the kid supposedly sees this thing and the dad knows what he is talking about immediately. Turns out the story is corroborated by multiple other individuals too.

Also, you haven't addressed how multiple people see the same occurrence at the same time. Once again, I haven't seen anything personally and I'm not an outright believer. I'm just against completely dismissing it because I "know" when I really have no freaking clue.

Well ,whether you want to believe it or not, people lie. Whether it's to get attention or be a part of something that seems fascinating, people lie. Even people you know well and trust, people lie or misconstrue memories, if you want to make an excuse for them.
