Well ,whether you want to believe it or not, people lie. Whether it's to get attention or be a part of something that seems fascinating, people lie. Even people you know well and trust, people lie or misconstrue memories, if you want to make an excuse for them.

Of course there are people that embellish and lie about this stuff. That doesn't mean every single person in the history of mankind that has supposedly seen something like this is a liar just because you haven't seen anything.

This is the problem with every one of you ghost believers. I don't have an answer, therefore the answer is ghosts. It's far more likely that you forgot to pick up the shoe, your daughter threw it, etc. than it is that a freakin ghost threw a shoe.

Not necessarily, but thanks for the gross generalization.

Most of what I saw/heard was also seen by other individuals. At times what we saw/heard were in locked buildings that only I and those who experienced it with me had the key to, other times myself and other individuals saw people we knew to have died, etc.

Some people's experiences are more explainable than others. Some are not.

I'm a very skeptical/critical person. I question everything. I don't go to church and I do not have a strong faith because of it. I believe that makes what I have seen and heard more tangible, if only to me...

I suspect most are lying, but many others experience hypnopompic or hypnogogic hallucinations in many instances. Some experience outright hallucination or illusions.

I had a hypnopompic hallucination once where I awoke and on the pillow next to me was a severed head, clear as day. I jumped up out of bed frightened, rubbed my eyes looked back and it was gone. There is an explanation for what I saw and likely for what all the non-liars saw as well.

Am I to assume that you believe in every case where multiple individuals corroborate the same story in the same detail, in many cases not discussing what they saw until after they saw it, these folks are all liars? Or are all these people hallucinating the exact same vision?

Probably liars. Or, rarely some natural phenomena that's new to them and their only explanation is ghosts.

There are bunches of people who didn't talk before who have claimed to see Bigfoot, ufos, the Loch Ness monster, chupacabra and all manner of bullshite. Are you inclined to believe them as well.

There is no evidence for any of it, none.

I don't know what I believe. I only know what I heard. I only know what my friend told me he saw. My story has been posted many times on this board.

If she or anyone with this veil can see the future, why don't any of them parlay it into a decent living. Why are all of these people broke or not well off, save for those who can con money out of suckers who believe this stuff?

And, what does this veil look like at birth?

So you think people who believe in God, Angels, Saints, etc, etc, etc are just hallucinating too? It's all supernatural - not of our physical world.

First of all, I've said multiple times that I'm not inclined to believe any of it. My argument the entire time was that there is enough matching testimony in many cases outright dismissing every single one of these claims was ignorant.

That being said these examples are not comparable. All of these things (except for maybe Nessie) are 100% real and of this earth whereas these "ghosts" are presumed not to be. They may not be what people say they are, but there isn't any doubt that these things are of physical form. People see unidentified flying objects all the time. They may not be aliens, but they see them and document them. Recordings of "bigfoot" walking and howling in the woods and dead, rabid looking animals that people claim to be chupacabras are or once were living things.

There is no evidence for any of it, none.

And we have come full circle with what I said earlier about trying to collect scientific evidence of something that is inherently not scientific (as far as we know).

I don't know what you would call it but I see and feel things before they happen. I felt something was wrong with my mom and sent her a text at the time of her death. I also saw her right after I sent text . also, I've seen someone getting beat to death in my dreams. I couldn't make out the face but knew someone died. I woke up and started freaking out so I started calling family members. My fiancé was out of town working and he was the only person tbst DIDNT answer his phone. I found out a few hours later that he was beat to death. I have a hard time believing any of this

I never got the impression that she was walking around with some special lens that allowed her to see things on demand. Your question about making a living would imply predicting the stock market, sports scores, etc. I never saw or heard of it working that way for her.

Everything that "came to her" related to something that directly impacted her life or the lives of close family. It was always expressed by her in plain and certain terms, zero doubt, and was information that was unknowable using only her normal five senses.

You asked for it...

Child born with a veil

A preserved, dried veil

Because of the significance once ascribed to a veiled birth, the veil used to be preserved as a "keepsake".

To answer your question in short, yes i do.. My reasoning(dont want to turn this into a religion thread) but there is a God, and there is a devil, there are angels, and there are demons.

But this question ultimately comes to this, some people believe everything in this world can be broken down and figured out by science... Some people believe that we as humans do not and will never understand everything there is to this life.
Which side are you on is the question?

Are there other people in the house? Maybe the door aren't hung properly and depending on the temperature they'll close on their own. I have doors that slowly close on their own during the winter months.

you don't seem to read very well---I wrote in the post that these things happened when I was home alone. NOBODY else in the house. I also posted that it was POCKET DOORS, do you know what they are? They slide into the wall, they cannot blow open or shut, it is impossible. China cabinet doors latch shut and are difficult to open, hadn't been opened in months. TV came on by itself in an empty room several times. No apparent explanation for these things and after a long time and long list of things happening I began to consider the fact that something strange was happening.

I'm not dismissing the idea that the people who aren't lying did experience something. I'm saying that there is a natural explanation to what they experienced.

I read well. I simply don't think you were alone as you thought you were. The tv? Ive had a tv switch channels seemingly randomly and once turn on by itself. I switched batteries in the remote and it stopped. When you said pocket doors, I mistakenly thought French doors, my fault. I have pocket doors in my house.

Because your pocket doors were in a different position and your China cabinet was open seemingly for no reason and the tv came on seemingly randomly, it must be ghosts?

So something that inherently can be proven? Would your explanation be the hallucinations and illusions? I can buy that...

But how does that explain multiple people seeing/hearing the same thing? Sometimes at the same time, and sometimes at different times? Some kind of environmental factor? Not likely.

There are rare natural phenomena that people, ill equipped to explain, experience together. Then there are people who want to be included in a group and flat out lie.
