What is Dad bod exactly? Is it being in good shape except a little extra huskiness here and there (like, clear you are fit but still have 10-15 to drop) or is it being a fat old frick?

I squat a lot, and have a bigger booty than my girlfriend. She hates it.

It's men (typically married men) who work out/can tell they work out but have a little fat on them. Basically guys who workout and do not have a strict diet and/or do not spend 7 days in the gym.

I always thought that it was late thirties and up guy that could stand to drop 20 lbs but isn't really fat per se

There is a big difference between having a Dad bod and being fat. Most people who claim to have Dad bods actually don't.

Most women aren't that concerned with your appearance as long as you are clean cut and not awful looking. They are much more focused on how you make them feel.

This is the truth.

I though it was essentially being healthy but just not a regular at the gym

So long as there is a fully functional 10 incher attached, they don't care.

Prefer? No.

Do they settle for it because they are overweight themselves and don’t have other options? Yes.

Dad bod vs non-dad bod. Same guy but one who decided to get in shape...

I think of it as having decent muscle definition in the arms, shoulders and chest, with a bit of a beer belly. Definitely no gut or moobs.

If you have money it doesn't matter if you look like Rocky Dennis.

dad bod goes along with mom bod. when you get older you'll realize how easy the dad/mom bod is to achieve.

Oh and most women can overlook dad bod if dad wallet is equal to or larger than the gut dad is sporting. Just sayin.

Most women are not as superficial as we are....

Many women rather a guy with a little fat and spend time with them verses a guy with 5% BF and lives in the gym.

That’s a lazy answer.

Nice bodies are made in the kitchen, not the gym. One hour a day in the gym 3-4 days per week is more than enough with a good diet.

This is actually true. I'm about to be 43 and have work a lot harder to shed 10 lbs than I did at 27.

There is an inverse relationship between how attractive a woman is and how much she prefers the dad bod.

On a purely physical level, OT 9.9s do not find dad bods attractive whatsoever.

But regular ol' Sally IRL 7 will find it "attractive" because it makes her feel confident that she is the "hot" partner in the relationship.

So we go from 20% BF dad bods to 5%?

10-12% BF is easily attainable if you aren’t lazy and don’t have excuses why you can’t do it.

I never mentioned anything but 5%, not sure what the universal definition % is for Dad bod ...
