Do wild animals focus on things besides necessities?

Does a fox overlook a sunset and think it’s a beautiful site?

Do birds ever look around and wonder where they came from?

Does a lion believe in a higher power other than himself?

Does a squirrel look up at the stars and wonder about things in the distance?

Does a Tiger ever feel bad about killing another creature?

Or are their whole life’s focus completely centered around food, water, and shelter? I have a hard time believing that they have no sensitivities to emotional thoughts.

Why? Absolutely nothing indicates that they do.

Are you high? Most animals don’t have the brain capacity to do things humans do.

Animals (except maybe some primates) don’t have the cognitive ability to understand any of what you mentioned.

But they do things for enjoyment. A good back scratch whether it's on a tree (bears), dirt in a yard (birds, dogs, etc.). Heck, why do civilized dogs roll in dead animals...do they really need to hide their scent?

Animals sunning themselves.

Birds chasing crows for much longer distances than they really need to.

Dogs playing fetch with themselves (throwing the ball and retrieving it when you are too busy).

Horses going for a gallop around a field and then into a pond.

Dogs are pack animals that are very perceptive of emotions, and can share close bonds with their owners.

To think that they would implies you believe they have a conscience and a soul.

Dolphins, whales, and even some species of shark all play.

Most land and sea animals have some observed play activities.

Elephants have burial rites.

But for the most part an animals emotion spectrum while sharing with ours doesn't have the nuance or ability to push it aside and get a task done.

Humans are pretty unique in their ability to be absolutely terrified and still function.
