Do white people assume you're racist because you're white too?

I'm tired of this shite. I work in an office with both white and black people, with two of the blacks on each side of my office. The offices have very thin, uninsulated walls that allow for the very easy transfer of sound.

While sitting with white clients, almost all of them at some point begin throwing around the "n" word or say something like "those blacks are this" or "those blacks that". It's very uncomfortable because I know my neighboring office mates can hear plain as day but at the same time, I don't want to say something to the client that pisses him/her off and I lose money.

Now I'm sure blacks do the same when talking to other black people but dammit it makes me uncomfortable as frick when another white person assumes I'm racist just because I'm white.


Whoever thinks white people don't have to deal with racism is full of shite.
