There are certain things that get overplayed, I don't like to go and tell people what I did. And it always feels uncomfortable when someone does thank me.

If people want to help then something else needs to be done besides a free meal or a discount.

Seriously what happened to you. (Nobody thinks you're an admin anymore. So you drop that off.) Up until a couple months ago you were pretty cool & whitty. Now your pretty miserable. You sound like Condon when I read your post in my head off of 98.1.

That number just illustrates why our politicians are incompetent morons. Nobody here was safer after the invasion of Iraq.

They work less than teachers, and you see the backlash teachers get for not working over summer...

That is very true. DONSA for this DONSA for that. All federal holidays. Block leave for Christmas for all of December and first week of January. At 1AD at Fort Bliss mandatory family time everyone is off NLT 1500 EVERY Thursday.

Wasn't that long ago our soldiers were cursed and looked down on. I would think praising someone for their service is a preferable alternative.
Btw, there have been assholes in the military since the first cavemen put stripes on their bearskins.

Some of us served during peacetime a-hole, and trained much of the year for WHEN AND IF shite ever hit the fan.
I resent the fact that you look down upon me just because there was not a war to deploy to during my time of service

I have a bigger problem with the civilian leadership that decides how to use the military.

We had that 1500 cutoff on Thursdays at ft. Stewart as wells

But being in the only light infantry brigade in a mechanized division and other things in my chain of command, that hard time rarely happened.
