It's like the Corps turns average looking women into just fricking trolls.

Pretty easy, the Cold War. Thank God we had a brilliant president who defeated the enemy without having to fire a single shot. ;)

The US lost almost 100,000 troops during the Cold War.

Unless I'm reading this wrong I didn't realize you were a pilot

I was thinking ranger and sf tab and no I'm not being a smart arse.

I was an AH-64 pilot working pretty exclusively with the alphabet soup agencies and SOF. I'm now a security consultant/contractor.

I think they are appropriately idolized. I think it can be a bit much sometimes.

I just take a bit of an issue with these watch dogs that feel the need to call people out for not idolizing them enough.

Like you are not American if you don't love them as much as they do, that shite is getting old.

Sometimes when I see commercials for the various branches of our military it reminds me of those old propaganda ads from WWI and II. Our army has a fricking theme song and they obviously go out of their way to make it look like we're doing God's work as the world's good guys. I respect the hell out of service men and women but yes, the worship of our military is a bit creepy

Only a minority of them have. With that being said, I am thankful that do protect the USA and are ready to see some shite if called upon.

Absolutely. I cringe whenever I'm in a setting and that start asking all veterans to stand.
