Do things go back to at least semi-normal after November or are we done?

Serious question:

Regardless of the election in November, do we get back to even a sembalence of normalcy (whatever that is) afterwards, or are we too far gone down the path of self destruction? Does COVID-19 permanently change things?

I'm genuinely curious. It feels really ominous to me when I think about the near future and the future of my kids.

What say you, and why?

The media dwells on wedge issues during election years.

In 2016, it was BLM and Alton Sterling
In 2012, it was George Zimmerman

The stakes are higher this year for them. So they've cranked up the insanity.

This is the question of the year. I don’t think anyone really knows.

All of this is because of the election.

It will go away afterwards, regardless of the outcome. But it will return in 2024.

You guys are kidding yourselves

Covid is the best avenue for government overreach since 9/11

Thinking Biden winning would make it all go away makes zero sense

normal?

You see these crazies rioting looting and burning cities now?

What do you think happens when they get back in power? They will do EVERYTHING possible to make sure they never lose it again. There will be ideological purges.

Do some research about what happens when authoritarians get power.

They will absolutely love using secret police to actually disappear people. I follow their pages to see what they are saying. If you are a free thinker who is right of Stalin they want you and your family dead.

The crazy will return for the next election regardless of the outcome of the 2020 election. Wedge issue scares people into voting. And the black vote is very important for Democrats.....and the Democrats own the media.

Sorry, I should've added a sarcasm font. But I do believe the Dems will act as if all of the country's problems disappeared overnight if Biden wins.

They will all be back to push some wedge issue for the next election. This is the new "Election Year" normal.

Either way, this is what we'll see again next time the ruling class needs to fire up the voters.

You are 100% correct. My friend who is a data engineer put together a spreadsheet showing that media articles regarding racial tensions spike in June of every election year.
