Everybody hates a cop and a lawyer until they desperately need one.

I could have a firearm legally but I choose to not have one because I’m a real reactionary like the chief of police of Malibu. I depend on my local police department to be available if a firearm situation ever arises. If my local police department gets neutered, I’ll be forced to obtain my own personal firearm. I’m sure I’m not alone in this category either.

Without cops, they’d continuously have what they’ve had the last couple of weeks. It’s laughable that anyone would think that’s a good idea.

Yes they realize it. Hell, they are counting on it.

We're starting a slow decline into idiocracy. When the mob gets their way, the descent will become rapid.

Only through the magic of social media can the insane become instantly mainstream.

Idiocracy was made when, 2006? I feel like we're already a good third, maybe half, of the way from what we had in 2006 to what was depicted in Idiocracy. Certainly Lenox Mall and the Super Target in Dunwoody are.

The liberals and Democrats have actually been doing more to hurt the AA community the past 60 years. Policies like this, and welfare in particular, have been very detrimental. They seem great, but they are silently very destructive.

Oh sure, defund and remove the police force. All groups of people,by their very nature, will in time create their own forms of government. In time that area of Minneapolis will be ruled by a strong individual who will have his/her police force to enact his /her will. Mob gangsters,Lord of the Flies situation. Escape from Minneapolis, Snake will prevail again.

For the downvoter, look at the stats of 2 parent households, crime, and education after welfare was created. This was pointed out to me by a black guy. The numbers are irrefutable.

decrease in the nuclear family
increase in government aid
having religion/faith ostracized
history being rewritten because of feelings
social media taking over our lives

all have played a major part in society and our morals crumbling around us.

The narrative is to replace cops with social workers.

That's how retarded it is.

You morons realize that maybe one, one hundredth of one percent of Americans think we should abolish the police? Reminds me of the leftist jackasses that thought there was a big movement on the right to abolish the IRS when tea party whackos made some attention grabbing headline statements.

Realistically what would happen even if they did is a lot of states, counties and maybe even federal government agencies would be forced to try and fill the gaps. The idea of a place the size of say, Philadelphia or the Twin Cities having *no police* would turn the place into a war zone. Maybe I'm naive but I can't imagine the governors, state legislatures and even neighboring suburban counties would allow that to happen. Not to mention the feds.

I do think though that the crime rate would absolutely go way up even if other law enforcement tried to fill in.

You're way off base. Only 65% oppose it.

As stupid as the average American is, that could be 45% in a week.

The Fundamentalist Blue Church doesn't care if things get worse. "Worse" is subjective in cities where dozens of blacks get killed every week. They just want racist whites to quit "White Splainin" about what's good for them. Kind of like when your kid 13 and just wanted you to STFU even though you were the one that kept the roof over his head. It was about the emotion not the results.

Why should the community support a heavily armed organized group which is attacking them?
Why should us tax paying, hard working American citizens have to sit back and watch the country we love and worked hard to build be attacked and fear for our safety?

It would give the municipalities a HUGE tax break. Can you imagine Democrats wanting huge tax breaks? Another reason this movement is a glass cannon.

Will actually lead to higher taxes because they'll obligate the police funds to some other "community" project and then when they realize it's unsafe, they'll raise taxes to rehire police.

Voting has consequences and these blue cities/and states are getting exactly what they voted for [deserve].
