Our society needs rules,and it's a proven fact that humans can't police themselves effectively.

Just off the top of my head:
End traffic stops and roadblocks.
Legalize recreational drugs.
Take away the personnel carriers, helicopters, electrical torture devices, war dogs, and semi-automatic weapons.
Select cops randomly from the law-abiding citizenry, like jurors.
Constrain the ability of local police and politicians to declare curfews and states of emergency, confiscate guns, etc.
End civil asset forfeiture.
End undercover operations. Make cops wear uniforms and drive identifiable vehicles.
Roll back law enforcement staffing to pre-Clinton levels.
Remove legal protections against being sued on the job that are exclusive to law enforcement.
End private prisons.
End active probation and parole.
Repeal "three strike" laws.
Legalize prostitution.
Get cops out of schools.

For a split second I felt the same way but then I realized that we don’t need people with guns and a basically militaristic training to respond to 95% of people that police respond to...we could instead use that money to fund people who have training in peacefully mediating crises.

Define Recreational...Meth & hard drug addicts = more thieves
Take away the personnel carriers, helicopters, electrical torture devices, war dogs, and semi-automatic weapons. NO. If anything have at least one member of the SWAT team armed with a fully auto gun on calls requiring SWAT. Tasers are the only thing cops can carry on them that have minimal lasting effects. (Or do you prefer they get shot?)

Constrain the ability of local police and politicians to declare curfews and states of emergency, confiscate guns, etc. Establish clear standards for curfews/SOE and remove gun confiscation completely in all 50 states. The last 2 weeks has finally shown WHY private gun ownership is so important...the police can not be relied upon 24/7/365
